The hospital was built inside a huge, magnificent cave between 1963 and 1965. Chinese architects lent their talents to build this wondrous structure. The hospital has 3 storeys and was still in service until 1975. that is how well it was built during the years of the war. The Hospital Cave is located approximately 10 kilometers to the North of Cat Ba Town. It is close to the entrance of the national park. There are guides in and around the area. These will show you through the 17 rooms of the hospital. They will also guide you through a massive cavern still inside this cave that was the venue for watching movies. This cavern also had a mini swimming pool. The Hospital Cave is a feat of engineering that we all admire.
