During the Vietnam war, the people of this paradise country built a hospital that was bomb-proof and that was secretly hidden away in a cave. It served as a rest and recuperation center for Vietnamese soldiers. It also served as a safe house location for Vietnamese leaders. The hospital was built inside a huge, magnificent cave between 1963 and 1965. Chinese architects lent their talents to build this wondrous structure. The hospital has 3 storeys and was still in service until 1975. that is how well it was built during the years of the war. The Hospital Cave is located approximately 10 kilometers to the North of Cat Ba Town. It is close to the entrance of the national park. There are guides in and around the area. These will show you through the 17 rooms of the hospital. They will also guide you through a massive cavern still inside this cave that was the venue for watching movies. This cavern also had a mini swimming pool. The Hospital Cave is a feat of engineering that we all admire.

Sail to the Lan Ha Bay and marvel at the karst islands

There are over 300 islands in Lan Ha Bay. From a geological perspective, these islands are an extension fo Halong Bay. These islands feature limestone pinnacles as well as marvelous scenery.
